Oh Tree is the porfolio of Karen Sia, the webmistress of Kalena.NET who has been promising to get a domain name since 2006 and failed even now. Nevertheless, she is still hoping that one day she'll be able to get her own domain, tentatively, O-three.Org. The name of the portfolio - Oh Tree, is derived from O Three by shifting the letter 'H' to just after the letter 'O'.
Why O-Three? 2003 is the year she discovered the joy of webdesigning and started to fumble through the art of designing a website, through online tutorials and books borrowed from the library.
Revamped. There were many past layouts showcased on this portfolio, including everything she'd designed - The GOOD, The BAD and THE UGLY. There were 70+++ layouts, but with the webmistress' decision to revamp and showcase only the good ones, there are only 20 to 30, excluding other graphics. And the layouts now come with explanations as to how it came about.
Navigating around doesn't require much, just scroll down.

A Site on Twins - one of my mini-shrine type of site devoted to fictional twins. The original few characters have mainly red hair, and that that's why all the red you see. I wanted to feature all the twins in the site and that's what came out. The background is a landscape I googled long before I made this layout. The serene blue landscape was quite a contrast with the flaming red hair but they turned out quite well, don't you think? This is one of the first pop-up sites I did and I like the style so much I made another, like the one below. |

Winter layout with white ground and winter trees - I was so satisfied with this layout that it went on to inspire many other of my works as you will see below. |

Layout made solely using only 2 sets of brush and a scribbly-font. It's rather simple but it is one of my proudest achievement - a teacher specialising in IT saw this and told me I had good design sense. |

| Black, Gold, Gray and White layout inspired by the extensive description of the decor of a penthouse in a book I read. The book is Wildest Hearts by Jayne Ann Krentz if I remember correctly. |

I was really fascinated with The Incredibles when I watch it. I love especially Helen Parr. Anyway, This layout is made from the officail images realeased, inalucing wallpapers. |

Good Luck!! - A japanese drama starring Takuya Kimura. The two pictures are of the main character and his love interest conversing in a long distance call, one in Hawaii, another in Japan. |

A simple back and white layout featuring
Kazuki Mutou
from Busou Renkin. |

The colour palette from this layout is one of my favourite and one continue to use today. This layout is made from scratch with no brush and no pictures. |

Th result of my fascination with drinking flavoured milk and milkshakes at the time inspired me. The starwberry and the cow spots are from images I googled and integrated into the layout. Do you now that the milk carton can be used for many purpose, not just a layout? |

Posterised two images - One of Mu La Flaga and another of Murrue Ramius from Gundam Seed and combined them . Taped the navigation and title of the site. |

The first scroll-left-to-right layout I made. A true gallery that features the wallpapers I've made as thought it is hanging. the colours look odd but surprisingly interesting. The colours are picked from the chibi Mu and Rau figure at the left of the layout. |

I love the palette used here. I love the picture as well. Which is why I have yet to change the layout of this website since using this. Pale Green and Yellow and a dash of brown make a nice combination, doesn't it? |

If you notice, it's another black and white layout featuring another character from Busou Renkin - The veteran Captain Bravo (Real Name:
Mamoru Sakimori
) |

| A layout inspired by the official dicsography website of Enya, this layout features Daisuke from D.N.Angel. His smile is really sweet! |

As mentioned above, the first winter layout I've made turned out to be a source of inspiration for many more graphics that I would come to make. This is the div layers version of the pop-up layout I made originally. Having decided that the sky was too bright in the first, I dulled the colours and added the snowfakes for a finishing touch. There are also more trees this time. This layout is a premade layout available for your use. You can download it in the graphics section of Kalena.NET. |

Not exactly a layout designed by me, this is a skin I made for my Minitokyo account, featuring Athrun Zala from Gundam Seed Destiny, wearing an orb uniform. I used watercolour type paint brushes to match the picture. |

| December layout featuring art by Taiwanese artist Chen Shu Fen. I also used Enya's Amid the Falling Snow as text to accompany the lady. |

Used two sets of brushes. This layout is rather monotone, but I love the tiles!! It is available for download from Kalena.NET |

A result of my fascination with Cinnamon roll of the Sanrio characters. Nothing awe-inspiring but fairly decent. |

Was watching Prince of Tennis when I first made this. This features Ryoma Echizen, the Prince of Tennis (This moniker is fairly normal when you consider others in the show - King, Emperor, even Son of God!!) and his cat, Karupin. A variation of the Sanrio layout above. You can see that I love stripes by now. |

| Inspired by the Chinese New Year decor, I started out with red and gold and needed a third colour and that's how the black came in. Although, strictly, black isn't even supposed to be here 'cos it's considered inauspicious. |

One of my recent layouts I'm satisfied with - I've been making trash for months. As a break from the winter-themed layouts which I always make in December, I made a decision to use a climate theme of my native Singapore - Summer All Year Round as people like to say. This is especially so after I'd experienced 10 days worth of winter in China, when I learn to appreciate the weather here. |

| A layout I made for Kalena.NET a couple years ago, I never really had the chance to use it since a pop-up isn't really suitable for my site with large amount of content. But I kept this layout around for some time because I really like it and finally converted it as a premade layout available for download recently. |
