:: Jewellery/Earrings Display ::

The above is a earring display I've made using materials that can be found easily. Having recieved 3 new pairs and bought another six pair of earrings within a span of 2 days, I realised that I need a place to keep them without tangling them. This is when I started researching on earring holders. This is particularly troublesome since I do not have pierced ears, and usually replaces the ear hooks with screwback clip-ons attachments. I came up with this idea from the display most shops used, on metal bars. But metal bars are hard to get so I replaced it with raffia strings. This way, I can also display the earrings by hooking them on th strings. The board is a piece of hard cardboard you can find at the back of lecture pads (I've been saving them with hopes that I can use them one day). I decorated with wrapping paper that I have saved.

Other materials/tools: scissors, clothes peg (to peg them to the winder grilles), one-hole hole puncher, glue

:: Origami Cake ::

Click on the above and you'll see an assortment of cakes made from paper. That's right, they're origami cakes. I bought a cute little packet of origami papers when I was in Diaso with instructions on how to make origami cakes and this is the result.
