Karen Sia
^a some odd name especially the last character of my chinese name. When I went to school most teachers does not know how to pronounce it, they told me that they can't find it in the dictionary. However, now, I managed to find it in some newer dictionaries. I got this name from some fortune teller, it was hoped that I have a better life with this name I suppose. Nevertheless, I love it, maybe part of me love it becuase it actually boggles the teachers.

It is also the Danish form of Katherine: From the Greek name Aikaterine . The etymology is debated: it could derive from the earlier Greek name Hekaterine , which came from hekateros "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess HECATE ; it could be related to Greek aikia "torture"; or it could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". The Romans falsely derived it from Greek katharos "pure" and changed their spelling from Katerina to Katharina to reflect this. The name belonged to a 4th-century saint and martyr from Alexandria who was tortured on the famous Catherine wheel. This name was also borne by two empresses of Russia, including Catherine the Great, and by three of Henry VIII's wives.

*In my case, I got it because my father want to placate my mother, who thought that my chinese name sounds too much like that of a guy's.

I know of a good number of people who are born in August even people whoes birthday are somewhat related to mine. Like my sister's. 2th April. Interesting, isn't it? Even the class register number I got are very often 4, I even had 2 years of 8.

:: Family ::
Family: Eldest child in my family, I have 3 siblings (2 brothers and a sister in consecutive order) out of a family of 6. It's great to have so many family.

Reads: Thrillers, Mysteries, Romance, Sci-fi, Supernatural, Fantasy, Myths, Martial Arts novels by Jing Yong and some other authors, The Celestial Zone, Busou Renkin, History on certain things that caught my interest
Watch: Gundam Seed [Destiny], D.N.Angel, a couple more animes, dramas, TV, most of the above genres I read
Listen to: almost every genre except rock, but particularly New Age and Classical Pop
Others: eat, sleep, drink, daydream, design graphic
